Tulum real estate is the fourth market growing up on the Mexican Caribbean coast, following Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. Looking at the success of its predecessors and the features unique to this community, Tulum shows promise of being one of the best places to invest in Mexico land.

The strong success of each of these other locations is promising for Tulum, which is nearby and enjoys a good share of the area's growing tourism. Each of these areas, during their boom, offered investors large returns in a short time; land that was purchased early in one year, was selling for significantly more later that same year, without any improvement. Those who build on their land saw even more significant return.

Tulum is currently just beginning into its own boom. Tourism has been steadily growing ever since Cancun was created 40 years ago, drawing visitors to visit its unique pyramid site, which overlooks the beach from a cliff. Since then, a small hotel industry of its own appeared, mostly "green" focused. Recently, with an ever growing number of tourism arriving to the area, a new airport was planned for Tulum. The new airport is expected to open up tourism to the south half of the state (Cancun is at the north, and Tulum is in about the middle), meaning that Tulum will now have a more central location.

This also mean that more visitors will pass through the area and show interest in Tulum real estate. This process has already begun. New developments have begun to show up, working within a carefully planned development strategy, working to maintain the community's small-town atmosphere, while offering new real estate options.

Many of the developments are land developments, offering lots with connections, roads, village center areas, etc. Others are condo developments. Both development and raw land present excellent options to take advantage of Tulum's upcoming boom.

There are certainly enough buyers who simply want to enjoy life in Tulum. The new airport will bring new services, more stores, and more activities. For this very reason, it is worth considering land in Tulum to invest and resell to this growing market of buyers interested in vacationing or retirement.

Like Cancun and Playa del Carmen before, Tulum will offer significant return for those who move early to own in this up-and-coming market. Some have already invested much earlier; many of these have been waiting longer to cash in on their investment. The ideal moment to make a move in Tulum is coming soon. Make sure you are a part of it.
