Aldea Zama is a relatively new land development in the village of Tulum, about 2 hours south of Cancun; the lifestyle of elegant and trendy modern convenience blended with the relaxation provided by the area’s nature is reflected in Tulum’s fourth annual “Green Ideas” Expo in May, 2011.

The “Green Ideas” expo is a space to promote the use of green technologies, sustainable development and tourism that respects nature in one of the most breathtaking and unique areas of the world - the Mexican Caribbean.

Among the area’s most attractive natural phenomena are the wide, soft-sanded beaches, the turquoise Caribbean waters, the lush sub-tropical jungle which is home to one of the world’s most biologically diverse biospheres.  This same setting was home to the mystical civilization of the ancient Mayan people, who have left a magic in the atmosphere to be felt to this very day.  Tulum is actually home to one of the most awe-inspiring pyramid sites, with its central pyramid up on a cliff overlooking the beachfront.

These combined elements have defined the lifestyle atmosphere of Aldea Zama which will bring an elegant and trendy village center to land buyers who wish to enjoy the best of modern convenience while keeping in close contact with natural surroundings and relaxation that runs deeper.  The area’s residents will enjoy activities such as yoga, benefiting the body and much more.

The visual atmosphere of the development will combine rustic and natural elements, such as wood and stone, with confortable modern design.

Events like the “Green Ideas” Expo have been growing in popularity in Tulum, appealing to the same lifestyle which draws North Americans and Europeans to buy in developments like Aldea Zama.

The Expo will bring together various interested exhibitors to present products and consulting projects related to environment and environmental sustainability in tourism projects, as well as companies that will present successful experiences in developing real estate that seeks a balance with nature.

At a press conference at the premises of the Trust for Tourism Promotion of the Riviera Maya, Gilde Sigi, director of Green Ideas Expo, said this year's event will be particularly important since the first SME Forum municipality of Tulum, which has the aim to strengthen links and negotiations between exhibitors and real estate buyers.

Among the invited speakers, the Green Ideas Expo will feature Mr. Jesús León Santos, renowned environmentalist in the Sierra Mixteca in Oaxaca, who in 2008 was awarded the Goldman Environmental Prize, established in 1990 by American philanthropists and Richard N. Goldman and his wife Rhoda H. Goldman to support ecologists who are conducting relevant activities in this sector anywhere in the world .

The developers of the Aldea Zama project are in fact among the sponsors, and will have representatives at the event.
