Mexico real estate encompasses a very large variety of styles, locations and property types.   Even within a more defined market, such as Playa del Carmen real estate, the variety is fairly broad.   Here, we will take look at the variety in a very specific sub-market that many buyers find appealing - Playa del Carmen homes for sale.     The following are a few locations & styles which buyers might consider.

Gated community homes - While Playa del Carmen is a small city that is very safe - a fact attested to both by personal stories and official data - many retirees and families who buy in Playa del Carmen like the feeling of a closed off community with controlled access.     In addition to higher security, it also means there is less traffic, and makes for a very relaxing lifestyle atmosphere, where residents can comfortably enjoy walkways through picturesque green areas where kids can play without a worry.

Golf course homes - A variety of the gated community home is the golf course community, which is very similar except for the added benefit of being centered on a professionally designed golf course.   Playa del Carmen has already been named Latin America's golf capital, and this role is only being consolidated with more courses, and more excellent real estate options.

Villas - Villas are an ideal choice for those who enjoy the privacy of a single home, but find the easy maintenance and added amenities of a condominium complex appealing; villas are just that - homes located in a condominium complex.

Beachfront homes -While these are not very common, and tend to be pricier than the other options, they are still much more affordable than beachfront homes just about anywhere else in the world.   They also offer a very strong appeal for vacation rentals when owners are not using them, giving buyers a way to balance expenses and even enjoy a profit.

Fixer uppers - Since Playa del Carmen is very new, few people associate it with the idea of old homes in need of a renovation.   However, there are a few locations very close the beach where early development was less well organized and many well-constructed homes have either been neglected or were never 100% finished.   These areas are just beginning to show signs of gentrification, and could be a very appealing, well-priced choice.

Considering this variety in one single sub-market in Playa del Carmen, we can see that Mexico real estate holds a good deal of variety to offer us.   The hard part is always choosing!
