You've completed your topmexicorealestate - Playa del Carmen real estate search, and you're ready to buy that ideal Playa del Carmen beachfront for sale.   Everything's ready to go … but, do you have the Mexico insurance coverage you need to make sure your Playa del Carmen beachfront lifestyle offers the comfort and security you need?

You may or may not have given much thought to insurance, but the following are some areas where you will want to carefully consider buying a good insurance policy from a reputable insurer:

Home Insurance - If you have advanced pretty far in the purchasing process, you have probably at least considered buying home insurance.   If you are buying by means of a mortgage, it will be required.   Even if you are not using a mortgage it is highly recommendable to have insurance.   Even though it's very rare that hurricane hits Playa del Carmen, it's always best to be prepared just in case it ever happens that your property suffers damage from severe weather.   Your agent will be able to refer you to a good insurance company.

Healthcare Insurance - Very good hospitals are available in Playa del Carmen for reasonable prices.   Even more choices and specialists exist about 1 hour away in Cancun.   While prices are low, it's nevertheless helpful to have insurance coverage.   One point is that even though major processes are between 50 and 70 percent less expensive than in the U.S., it can still be a major expense.   It offers you peace of mind just to known that payments will not be an issue.   The very fact that costs are lower in Mexico means savings on insurance.

Automobile Insurance - If you are going buy a car in Playa del Carmen, or drive down in your RV, you will want to make sure you have insurance that covers anything in Mexico.   There are insurers that work from the U.S. and offer complete and recognized coverage in Mexico.   In Mexico, you may not get the same reminders (i.e. it's obligatory!) to get valid insurance as we are used to from the U.S. or Canada, but it's just as much of a risk to drive without good coverage.

Watercraft Insurance - One of the key items of a beachfront lifestyle is enjoying the ocean; many people buy yachts or jet-skis; as with a car, it's completely to your advantage to have complete insurance.

Talk to your real estate agent about any insurance needs you may have.   They will be able to point you to reliable providers.
