Anyone who is considering buying Tulum real estate has probably considered Mexico land for sale in the area.  This is with good reason.  The following are a few of the reasons why Tulum land for sale is a good investment.

Tulum is growing. Tulum is currently a small town in the middle of Mexico’s Caribbean Coast, but shows many signs of growing significantly in the near future.  The area’s “domino effect” of growth and real estate booms has moved south from Cancun to Playa del Carmen and is now arriving to Tulum.  Growth leads to increasing demand and value in land.  A new international airport is in the plans, and this airport would accelerate the process of bringing new interested buyers, mostly in the form of tourists.

Tourism is growing in the region. Since the founding of Cancun over 40 years ago, a growing number of tourists have been arriving to Tulum in a steady stream.  What has changed significantly, however, is that Tulum is now a destination in itself, within the larger Riviera Maya area, rather than just an outing from other destinations.  This factor is likely to continue growing significantly as the government of Mexico implements projects to make Mexico one of the top 5 destinations in international tourism.  Growing tourism brings further investment as well as increased exposure to potential buyers.

Land investment has an excellent track-record in the region. During their own real estate booms, Cancun and Playa del Carmen brought very nice returns to land investors.  As Tulum enters its boom, buyers can expect to see similar patterns in this town.  While each community has a distinct style, it can be expected that land investment in Tulum has similar potential to that which it had in Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

Land prices are low. Low prices doesn’t always mean good investment, but when excellent investment potential exists as in Tulum, low prices are definitely a bonus, offering opportunity to buyers on more limited budgets.

Lifestyle factors are strong. For any buyer hoping to combine investment potential with lifestyle can do so in Tulum.  The beaches are beautiful, new, large stores are appearing and spas and boutiques are showing up for the more developed tastes.  Just as importantly, Cancun and Playa del Carmen are reasonable drives away.  This point is actually also a good “safety net” for investment; should of the services planned for Tulum take longer to appear, they are not entirely absent.
