When you consider your Mexico retirement, one of the top options out there is Puerto Vallarta retirement.  Perhaps the biggest decision you’ll have to make when you’re planning is which property is most suitable for your retirement needs.  The following are some location options to consider in Puerto Vallarta condos for sale.

Beachfront – This is the classic option in Puerto Vallarta.  Whether in the downtown area or out in some of the newer development areas, enjoying views of the Pacific Ocean – especially the sunsets – and having the beach right on your front door add a sense of relaxation to your retirement above and beyond what you would normally expect.  Of course, the weather in Puerto Vallarta is warm all year round, you can enjoy the beachfront any time of year.

Hillside – If the views on the beachfront are nice, these are simply spectacular.  Condos can offer splendid panoramas of the beaches, the Ocean, the town and the surrounding hills.  Hillside condos can be found in very convenient locations that are a walk or a short taxi ride away from shops, restaurants, large stores and the beachfront.  One of the biggest advantages on top of all of this is that the prices tend to be even lower than the beachfront.

Newer Communities – For those who prefer more of a modern and greener lifestyle atmosphere can consider some of the newer communities.  Some are more recently developing areas, and others are already established as favorites among American and Canadian expats, like Nuevo Vallarta.  These often include newer shopping areas with modern stores –either international or a similar style – and malls, etc.  New condo complexes, however, are available in most locations.

Marina communities – Puerto Vallarta’s marina communities are newer, upscale areas that offer a comfortable, modern lifestyle.  Besides ocean views, there are also romantic views of the marina’s waterways. The marina area also includes nice shopping areas which in themselves are considered to be attractive.  Retirement in the marina is, of course, especially attractive for those who own a boat.

Gentrifying communities – Some retirees might like the idea of living in one of Puerto Vallarta’s gentrifying communities.  Several are within walking distance of downtown.  They offer excellent prices on nice properties, and are already showing signs of being nice communities with a comfortable lifestyle.

Of course, along with choosing a property location, retirees will be choosing a lifestyle, a budget and many other central features in their retirement.  For this reason, it’s all that much more important to start thinking about this choice early on.
