The reputation is spreading that Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area (known as the “Riviera Maya”) is the place to be if you love golf and beaches.  Yet one of the beaches in the Riviera Maya stands out with a special role of being home to perhaps the most import of the areas golf courses – the Mayakoba Golf Club.

Two things are special about this area.  One is the beaches.  The beach area of Mayakoba, like the finest of the Riviera Maya, has soft, white sand and bright turquoise water.  Of course, everything is warm – the very fine sand and the crystal clear water.  The beaches are an amazing place to enjoy the warm sun, pure nature and relaxation at its best.

Because of beaches like this one, the Riviera Maya is continually showing up on more and more international lists of the top beaches in the world (usually top 10 or top 5.)

From the pure perspective of quality of the beaches, Mayakoba is worth visiting.  Now on top of that, add world-class golf.

The Mayakoba Golf Club is home to the course, El Camaleon, which hosts Latin America’s first and only PGA event, the Mayakoba Golf Classic.  The professional, championship quality course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area is home to 9 courses, plus 3 more in Cancun and one across the strait on the island of Cozumel.  For this reason the Riviera Maya has been named Latin America’s golf capital.  Mayakoba Golf Club can, with confidence, be called the heart and focal point of this growing culture.

One of the best parts is that golf can be enjoyed all year round!

World class beaches, world class golf – now imagine living here …

The good news is that there is also excellent real estate here for very reasonable prices.  Those interested can live next to Latin America’s finest golf and the world’s finest beaches can do so without being millionaires.  Beautiful condos, comfortable villas and luxury homes are available nearby in different styles and for a variety of budgets.

The Cancun International Airport is only about 40 minutes away, with excellent connections – direct flights to all major North American destinations on a regular basis.

Mayakoba Golf Club and the nearby beaches sound like a dream for many people, but the best part about it is that it’s definitely not difficult to make this dream a reality!
