The most important trend in Tulum land for sale as well as Tulum’s lifestyle culture is that of “environmental luxury.”  Some buyers might be skeptical of to what extent this is possible, or, if it really is that, then how affordable it is.  The following points show that it is not only possible, but it is actually an ideal combination offering excellent pricing.

The lots are huge. This point is important in all three factors – luxury, environment-friendly and pricing.  Since environment-friendly developments are well outside of town, very large natural lots (i.e. several acres) with plenty of trees and vegetation in a setting surrounded by virgin jungle are the norm for this kind of property.  The large, natural lots not only preserve nature, but add privacy and exclusivity.  The exceptional size of the lots makes the price per square foot among the best to be found.

Experienced design/construction companies are available. This is important to ensure a luxury lifestyle.  While there are many good builders in Mexico, only a handful are experienced in integrating environment-friendly features and designing homes for a natural setting that offer complete luxury – at least as much as buyers are used to from back home if not more. Since material costs and labor costs are lower in Mexico, the cost of having a beautiful, top-quality home of this type built is surprisingly lower than back home.

Top of the line technology protects nature. Living in a hut off the grid miles into the jungle sounds romantic in certain sense (to some people), but if any quantity of people were to live in that way, it would be actually be an environmental disaster.  What really works to protect nature is the top-of-the-line alternative energy technology combined with ecological systems for disposal of water, etc.  These ensure very comfortable living as well as completely integrity of the surrounding nature.  The same kind of builder mentioned above can ensure the proper installation of the most environment-friendly features.

Natural infrastructure adds to the relaxation.  One feature to look for is roads made of local materials, which allow natural flow of rainwater back into the ground.  This is not only environmentally sound, but combined with the lack of electricity lines and the presence of plenty of natural vegetation, the visual atmosphere actually remains more conducive for relaxation.

Anyone wondering how well luxury and environmental responsibility go hand in hand should check out some lots like these in Tulum.  They will be pleasantly surprised by the possibilities.
