While interest in Mexico land for sale tends to fluctuate pretty drastically in most markets, this interest does not always reflect the real benefits (or lack thereof) for land in a given market.  This is the case of Playa del Carmen land for sale which, although largely overlooked by most buyers these days, is still an excellent investment choice.

 

While interest in Playa del Carmen real estate has mostly shifted to condos, villas and homes, land in this booming still hold a number of advantages:

 

Price

The prices for land in Playa del Carmen are still very accessible considering the benefits of the various locations and the investment potential.  A wide variety of buyers can consider land, ranging from investors with large amounts of funds available to retirees trying to save money to make a tight budget work out for a comfortable lifestyle.

 

Variety in Location

Land in Playa del Carmen is available in gated communities near the beach, in golf course communities, in new commercial areas back from the beach and in some gentrifying communities near downtown.  The location variety is almost as large as the variety of people who could consider land investment.

 

Good Appreciation Potential

The general impression of land in Playa del Carmen is that the prices have capped and there will be no appreciation.  While this is true of the highest-demand areas in the heart of downtown, the low prices of land in many growing communities suggest that the land could increase significantly in value.  This is also true of gentrifying areas near the beach.

For many retirees or vacationers, this point is very important; they can have their home built exactly as they want it.  Especially retirees can design their home to make it easier, i.e. without stairs, etc.  In Playa del Carmen, there are excellent, experienced builders and architects who can put together a plan to suit each buyers needs and oversee the homes construction throughout the process right to completion.

 

Development Potential

Since the town is still growing quickly and demand doesn’t seem to be slowing, it’s very worthwhile considering investment for the sake of development – a condo complex with commercial space, for example.
