Knowing where or how to start can be a bit daunting. The following are some steps you can follow to start your search process on the right foot.
Search Online Mexico MLS Listings
There are many listings available for Tulum. Some are excellent, some are not so great. When you begin browsing a listing service, check to see if it is well organized with a wide range of properties available. Does it have beachfront condos, ecological lots and trendy homes in town? Does it have options in all price ranges? Good listings should also include a good photo gallery and map location for most properties for each property. They should also probably include “spotlight” properties that the professionals preparing the listings have selected as some of the best available. Browsing good listings will allow you to get a feel for the variety of properties, the prices and what will be most appealing to you.
Contact an Experienced Agent
This will be your one most important step. While browsing listings can be done without any commitment or worry about whether the listings are good or not, the agent you choose will be your contact for you while you start the process of letting your dream property in Tulum take shape; you will let them know what you are looking for, send them properties that catch your interest, and they will use this info to find further suggestions for you. Look for an agent that is experiences and qualified with certificates and membership in AMPI (Mexico’s professional association for real estate.)
