Playa del Carmen March for Iluminemos Mexico
This past Saturday, 30 August in Playa del Carmen, and in basically every major city throughout Mexico, a silent march was realized uniting the community and this beautiful Mexican nation An organization called Iluminemos Mexico organized this 6:00 pm march
Incredible crowds of people began forming and marching along the avenues of Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Chetumal and basically all other cities of Quintana Roo
People dressed in white and holding candles, marched peacefuly, silently, and united with their families, their neighbors, coworkers, from all parts of Mexico, and here in Playa del Carmen from all parts of the world, large crowds of people came together to walk united.
The message that was being transmitted; “That all people living in Mexico, we are Mexico, although it may seem that some of us have forgotten, some people have left it along the road When and how we forgot, we don`t really know, but that is not the point, what is important is that we must restart now We are here to keep Mexico how it was, safe, peaceful, warm, family oriented We are here to show the world that we continue being a UNITED SOCIETY.” -Iluminemos Mexico
I fell in love with Mexico for thousands of reasons The importance of family and the strong family values passed on to the children were some of the main reasons that I chose to settle and make my life here in this wonderful country So naturally my wife and two small kids with the same feelings as I, felt it very important to join this event with other families and friends of the community and of the nation It was a very moving event, and it brought me much confidence and tranquility knowing that there are so many good people here in Mexico who are united and will unite if needed or if just simply asked
