If you are already retired, something you’ve almost certainly thought about is hiring help to get things done around the house; while this kind of help can be expensive, Mexico retirement can help save significant amounts of money in this way.
If you buy a Mexico home for your retirement, and you are responsible for the maintenance, it is comforting to know that you can find reliable help to take care of this aspect for a very accessible price. Having the option of hiring good maintenance help at a low price will remove stress from your retirement budget and provide you with both time and funds to enjoy and relax.
The same is true for housecleaning. A full-time housekeeper can be hired in Mexico for less than $600 a month – this is considered a good wage for many Mexicans. Another advantage is that a full-time housekeeper in Mexico will do much more than just clean your house; it is also normal that they will run errands and cook meals – also meaning that you get to enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican food! (In case you want it, they will gladly learn how to prepare standard American food, which is usually easier to prepare than the Mexican dishes anyway.)
Part-time housekeepers can also be hired depending on your retirement needs.
If you are interested in buying a Mexico condo for sale for your retirement, there is a varying degree of what’s included in the monthly fees; grounds and building maintenance are the basics. While these fees vary according to the type of complex in which the condo is located, pricing of the units, etc., it the fees are typically noticeably lower than in condominium complexes back home. A few condominium complexes included housecleaning in their monthly fees, but usually not. In this case, the help of a hired maid as mentioned above can come in very handy.
The bottom line is that the price of hired help and maintenance costs in Mexico are much lower than they would be back home; this means you can enjoy your time a little more, without throwing your budget out the window to do so – i.e. you will still have plenty of funds available to enjoy Mexico’s many attractions!
