It featured a great number of national and international premieres and a created a space that allowed the film industry to talk about new projects and make some deals. Â
Among the talent on hand were Liam Neeson who spoke about his latest acting performance in Silence, the newest film from acclaimed director Martin Scorsese. The film is currently in post production and could not be shown but the film´s producer Gaston Pavlovich, who heads Mexico’s Fabrica de Cine, joined Neeson at the Las Ventanas Hotel press conference. Neeson had Scorsese for his 200% commitment to the project about jesuit priests facing persecution in Japan.

Many of the festival´s visitors praised the location, with Neeson and McGregor speaking highly of Mexico as a place that they have enjoyed visiting in the past. It´s only a 2 hour plane ride from Los Angeles, and with the weather averaging about 78 degrees Fahrenheit it is highly attractive.
