According to the Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo, Coba had close contact with large cities in Guatamala, Campeche and Quintana Roo such as Tikal, Dzibanche and Calakmul.  In order to maintain its’ power thousands of years ago, it had established military and matrimonial alliances with other communities at the highest levels.  Today, this historical site is one of many places to explore in the region that makes the Tulum real estate for sale grow in demand for many non-Mexicans.  New projects and developments like Aldea Zama in Tulum bring many extra amenities to the Mexican Caribbean life style.

As the Playa del Carmen condos market begins picking up in demand for the coming high season, people are discovering more options to the north of town.  “The little town is no fishing village anymore”.  That is quite true as you now find more conveniences throughout the community.   You no longer need to travel to Cancun for those hard to find items, as many retailers have opened up stores and shops throughout the booming city.  Soriana, Walmart, Mega Comercial Mexicana, Chedruai and various other mega stores have a location set up in Playa del Carmen including Sams Club and a City Club.  Walmart will be opening up their second Mega Center on the north side near to the Las Americas Shopping Center.

I am just back from the open house for a new Playa del Carmen homes option…to recap if you haven’t heard about it, it is a new condo development just 5 minutes north of town in a new beautiful gated community and walkable to the beach.  With a price point starting at $130,000 it just might be the best new condo value in Playa.

There are 6 buildings, each 3 stories for a total of 18 units…therefor only one unit per floor per building and no adjoining neighbors on either side of you.  There is a beautiful pool in the center as well as a sizable gymnasium.  They are even installing solar panels to help reduce your electricity cost and are very sensitive to environmental issues such as recycling, etc.

These condos are on the norther side of the Playa del Carmen real estate region.  They have special grand opening prices that are good until December 15, and I think being such great values, they will go quickly.  The ground floor garden apartment and the second story are both 2 bedroom/2 bath with an attractive open floor plan and lots of windows and spacious balconies.  I was also impressed with the finishes such at upgraded appliances, bathroom fixtures and granite counter tops as well as kitchen cabinetry that you would normally see in condo at much higher price points than these.

But you also need to know with the special pricing for the next month, the Penthouse may be the fantastic buy.  It has the same floor plan as the lower two floors, BUT has stairs up to the spaciouis rooftop with jacuzzi AND another bedroom/den/library with a half bath.  $135,000….what a great investment opportunity!

If the idea of living in a secure and safe new gated community with all underground utilities in this peaceful and tranquil setting…but still just a few minutes form all the conveniences that Playa has to offer, this might be worth taking a minute and checking out the details.

I’m talking about the newest condominium development in a recently opened gated community just north of the Playa del Carmen Real Estate region.  These are the newest Playa del Carmen condos to come onto the market.

The units are beautiful….both the exterior and the interior.  Their unique exterior is most attractive.  The six building surround a beautiful swimming pool with interesting shallow area made for lounging in the water as well as deeper swimming area.  The interior is perhaps the best feature as you immediately see and appreciate the open space design.  Since each of the six 3 story buildings has only 3 units, there is only one unit per floor per building, a nice feature.  The interior of the first building is now in process, and there seems to be many extra touches in the finish.  The floor tile work is noticeably attractive as well as the tile work in the two bathrooms and kitchen.  Even the pantry/laundry room has some nice touches.
