Alice Hutson
Alice is an experienced Realtor who trained and worked in Texas and sold her first house in 1969. She and her husband, Don, owned and managed a motel in a tourist destination and she assisted in the management of their several rental properties. She worked as the assistant office manager in a residential sales and property management real estate office, handling all aspects of the real estate business. Some years ago she and her husband traveled throughout Mexico in a fifth-wheel trailer with their three children. In the process, they discovered Lake Chapala and knew that's where they wanted to retire, which they did in 2003. Alice will help people find the perfect home and help sellers determine the right price to sell their home. She looks forward to a long career at Lakeside.
Alma Luisa Niembro
A native of Mexico, Alma graduated from ITESO Guadalajara (Jesuit University) majoring in Communications Sciences. Eventually, in 1995, she received her Real Estate License, and since has been involved with the housing market in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other surrounding areas. She is one of the first Agents that Ajijic Real Estate has had since its development.
Alma is a member of GIL (Grupo Inmobiliario del Lago), The Lakeside Association of Realtors; MLS of Mexico, the Lakeside Multiple Listing Service; AMPI (Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios), the Mexican Association of Realtors; and NAR (National Association of Realtors) of the United States of America.
She has four children, two in University (in Guadalajara and Mexico City) and the other two with successful careers in Canada and the USA. Traveling is one of her favorite things, She's been to almost every state in Mexico and enjoys traveling to different countries and experiencing different cultures, including India, Nepal, Peru, and most major cities in the USA. Camilo Ibarra
Camilo is a friendly and sociable person who is well qualified to work in the real estate market. He is a native of Guadalajara where he was educated and worked for 35 years in family businesses in real estate and related industries. He lived, studied and worked for four years in Virginia in the United States so feels comfortable in dealing with Mexican nationals as well expatriates and visitors from the U.S., Canada and Europe. Derek Trevethan
Derek was born in Mexico City and is fluent in both Spanish and English. After completing his studies in Business Administration he worked in Queretaro, San Miguel de Allende, Tapalpa and now in the Lake Chapala area. Georgette Richmond
Georgette is a native Texan who lived in Yucatan before finding Lakeside and buying her first home here ten days after arriving more than 25 years ago. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Sociology and Psychology, but wishes she’d majored in drama instead. Lakeside Little Theater is one of her passions and she has appeared in 20 plays there. She is a strong supporter of many community activities. “We have a lot of fun here!” she says. A world traveler, she learned Spanish in Holland living with an Argentine theater group, and German at the Volkschochschule in Berlin after the Wall fell. She had the first restaurant on the Stand in Galveston, sailed down the Barrier Reef in Australia, and crossed through the Panama Canal, has been to 47 countries but Ajijic. Is HOME!!!! She has renovated more than a dozen houses lakeside. Georgette has worked for Ajijic Real Estate since it opened in 1995 and her Boston Terrier, Hardwick, is her hard-working accomplice/alter ego/cohort and can be seen in many of her advertisements. Holly Nodwell
Holly, a Canadian from Toronto, Ontario, moved to Ajijic in 2003 after several extended visits to this wonderful part of Mexico. Lloyd is a native of Texas and a retired Mechanical Engineer. He chose the Lakeside area as a place to retire on a four-day visit in 1996. He has been in real estate since 1985, starting in Rochester, New York and works with his wife, Lee. You will find Lloyd knowledgeable. He will work hard for you. Lloyd gives a wonderful area tour.
Lee was born and reared in Augusta, Georgia. She has sold real estate since 1974 in New York and Texas. She has been a Lakeside resident since 1996 and specializes in marketing residential real estate. Luci Merritt
Luci was born in Winnipeg, Canada in 1950. During her early teen years she was a successful entertainer and was featured on a national television program for three years. Luci married entertainer Bill Merritt in 1970 and they have two children, Lisa and Bill Jr. who reside in Canada. During the late 70s and early 80s Luci was a media assistant to then Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Elliot Trudeau. In the late 80s she began her Real Estate career, and was always in the top 200 sales people in Winnipeg. Luci won yearly awards with the Winnipeg Real Estate Association for 15 years. In 1998 Luci & Bill moved to Ajijic which is now their permanent home. Luci chose Ajijic Real Estate as her premier choice of Realty companies and is on the staff as a sales agent. Phoebe earned a Master of Arts degree with a concentration in Real estate from an accredited University in the United States. Her real estate "Hands on" experience spans over 30 years including residential, multifamily (income producing properties) as well as commercial properties. Tony Harries
Tony was born in Houston and raised in Odessa, Texas. After high school he moved to El Paso where he attended Texas Western College, later named the University of Texas at El Paso. Upon graduation he taught school for 31 years in El Paso. During his teaching career, he spent many vacations in the Guadalajara/Lake Chapala area. Upon retirement in 1997 he was able to realize his dream and moved permanently to Ajijic. After completing training and internship with Ajijic Real Estate in the summer of 1997 he has been active in Real Estate sales, enjoying his new life and career on Lake Chapala’s north shore.
