Bacalar is located 213 miles south of the Cancun International Airport, but it feels like a world away. Most of the accommodations in Bacalar are quaint palapas by the lagoon, far away from the crowds and big all-inclusive resorts.

Akal Ki is a dream come true, where romance and relaxation are in the air. Enjoy the views overlooking the gorgeous lagoon from your private deck, get a massage or just relax in a hammock.

Rancho Encantado is a favorite, and one of the oldest hotels in the area. With easy access from the federal highway 307, and a little bit further from the town, it offers relaxation, beautiful views and superb service.
