In this interview, Thomas Lloyd, founder and president of TOPMexicoRealEstate.com speaks with Jose Carlos Guzman and Veronica Rogerson from the developer of Aldea Zama. They discuss the implications of a recent ruling from Mexico’s Supreme Court of Justice to declare the Urban Development Plan for the municipality of Tulum. The ruling comes in response to attempts by the plan to change zoning in Tulum’s National Park and Archeological Zone, which, according to the ruling are under federal jurisdiction.  Mr. Guzman points out that the ruling, far from harming real estate in the region, actually benefits Tulum real estate like Aldea Zama ensuring that the area’s nature and wildlife will be preserved in its original form; this is especially true for Aldea Zama which is located directly next to the Tulum National Park.
