Land Options in Yucatan Real Estate – Variety for Investment

Yucatan real estate offers a wide variety of property types, ranging from quaint little colonials, to countryside haciendas or modern condos on the beachfront; one option not to be overlooked, however, is that of Yucatan land. Land options are just about as varied as purchases with constructions. The following are a few of the possibilities.

Residential Lots in Merida. Merida is a charming colonial city, with many modern conveniences. Many residents prefer to enjoy this extraordinary combination, but from the comfort of a custom built their own liking and style. The majority of lots are available in the newer development areas on the edge of the city, but distance to the city center is still only a 15-20 minute drive.

Commercial Lots in Merida. Merida is also also the business center of the Yucatan Peninsula, and is has a thriving economy. There are many opportunities to build for commercial purposes, as well as commercial and residential combined, such as the classic condo complex with commercial spaces on the road level.

Lots Near the Beachfront. About 20 minutes away from Merida is the Yucatan Peninsula's north shore, with small towns along it, such as Progeso, which is the nearest. These towns retain the traditional charm of Yucatan, but have not yet boomed, offering many land options only a few rows back from the beach, and often even directly on the beachfront, for very accessible prices.

Large Countryside Lots. An option ideal for a small, personal ranch or simply an estate like the one you've always dreamed of, these lots are available for very accessible prices, giving residents innumerable options to create their countryside escape. Many can be found not far from basic services in a nearby town, and even a reasonable driving distance from Merida.

Prices of lots vary considerably, but a large lot jut on the edge of Merida with close access to the ring-road expressway and many shopping areas can be found for less than $25,000 USD! Beachfront lots are available for less than $100,000 USD, and lots just a few rows back can be found for considerably less. Value of Yucatan real estate has shown a constant pattern of steady increase, and growing services with an excellent road system make life convenient even outside of central areas.
