Early in February 2011, Playa del Carmen's Colleges of Architects and Engineers swore in a new presidents. This event is central to the Playa del Carmen real estate industry since these organizations has largely defined the city's developing atmosphere and helped to make Playa del Carmen properties one of the most attractive beachfront choices to be found.
During the ceremony, which was held at Reef Playacar, the mayor of Playa del Carmen, Roman Quian, said that the city is a place where the quality of the construction industry has been key to economic development, wealth creation and strength of the real estate industry in the municipality. Through the work of engineers and architects the city has been witnessing improvements in municipal urban geography and changes in the physiognomy; Playa del Carmen has been one of Latin America's fastest growing communities over the course of the past few years, and the design and construction has contributed greatly to the development and maintenance of the European/provincial atmosphere which draws so many Americans, Canadians and Europeans to choose this location over others.
The design of the city's infrastructure and construction and style of the buildings throughout the city have played a major role building and consolidating the economic leadership of the area through tourism. The high quality and visual appeal of Playa del Carmen condos for sale, as well as homes in gated communities, have likewise drawn many to choose this city as their part-time or full-time home.
The quality of the beaches combined with the city's lifestyle and visual atmosphere have worked together as the main attractive points for the closely related industries of tourism and real estate.
During the event, Sergio Vazquez was sworn in as president of the College of Architects and Jaime Tellez as president of the College of Engineers in the municipality. The state government stressed that in Playa del Carmen, as other destinations in the state such as Cancun, there is a united and coordinated effort between government and private sector.
The president of the Mexican Federation of Associations of Civil Engineers, Enrique Cervantes, said it is a source of pride to have professionals involved in a committed way in the transformation of the visual and spacial atmosphere of places like Playa del Carmen.
As Playa del Carmen continues to grow, the coordinated effort of the government, the colleges of architects and engineers, and the private sector will develop the existing charm of the community, offering a growing number of high-quality real estate opportunities.
