Playa del Carmen Real Estate on The Beachfront - Pros vs. Cons

When choosing to buy Mexico real estate, one of the most attractive options is beachfront property.  Playa del Carmen real estate is a very attractive location for beachfront property within this country .  The following is a comparison of some of the pros and cons, to help you as a buyer evaluate if Playa del Carmen beachfront for sale is the right choice for you.

 

Pros

  • Views – The views of the soft, white sand and the turquoise blue water of the Caribbean has little comparison, anywhere in the world, even on most beachfronts.  In the evening there are also wonderful views of the distant lights of the island of Cozumel.
  • Beachfront lifestyle – There’s nothing like getting up in the morning and walking out of your front door right onto the beach, or going for a relaxing evening walk in the sand, or enjoying a cold drink in the hot afternoon sun.
  • Ocean breeze – There’s also something magical, after a hot, sunny day of enjoying life on the beachfront, sitting on a private terrace, or relaxing on the beach itself and feeling the cool, refreshing ocean breeze!
  • Price – Luxury properties on the beachfront are unaffordable just about anywhere you look these days, especially when there are full modern services like in Playa del Carmen.  Playa del Carmen, on the other hand, is very reasonably priced, even in the best luxury properties. In addition, the cost of living is noticeably lower than back home.

 

Cons

  • Price (vs. other locations in Playa del Carmen) – While beachfront properties in Playa del Carmen are very reasonably priced in comparison to other beachfront properties, properties only a few blocks back are priced noticeably lower.  This draws many buyers to look in areas back from the beach.

 

  • Development options – Considering properties back from the beach also opens up a greater variety of development and community options, and, in general, a wider range of properties for sale.  For those who place the most importance on enjoying the views and lifestyle mentioned above, this will hardly be concern.

In general, most buyers find that walking distance to the beach is the ideal location; however, even considering the factors in favor of this preference, the possibility of owning a condo directly on Playa del Carmen’s beachfront has a romance to it that is equaled in only few places in the world!
