While all condos in Playa del Carmen offer excellent value, for those of us on a limited budget, we simply have to stay within that budget; the good news is that there are high-quality Playa del Carmen condos available for low prices in good locations. One type of location to consider is new gated communities in the outlying areas of the city. Let’s explore each part of this type of community to see why it is that they can offer low prices and high-quality. New – It is helpful to look in new communities. The reason is twofold – price and quality. New communities that are still under development often need to “get the ball rolling” for sales and thus offer lower prices to begin with than they will ask as development fills out. For this reason, a well-designed condo in a nice new development is usually noticeably less expensive than a very similar property in an completed development. The quality factor has already been hinted at; new communities are nice and upscale with a comfortable, modern design and all utilities and connections which are the most modern and visually attractive. Gated – This ties in closely to the quality of visually attractive, new communities. Several which match the description above are gated with 24-hour manned security. This means that the community will be not only safe, but also very clean and with little traffic. Gated communities a walk away from the beach offer an ideal balance between exclusivity and easy access to one of the main reasons why people choose Playa del Carmen – the beach. Gated communities offer a high-quality lifestyle, often including items like bike trails, plenty of green areas and tree-lined boulevards. The best part is, again, that they are low-priced so that you can afford them. Outlying areas Along with choosing a new community, it is worth looking at the outlying areas of Playa del Carmen. The city is still relatively small, so being in outlying areas is still means only a 10 minute drive to downtown, to shopping areas and to most services. Yet since these areas are still in the process of development, the factor of “new developments” mentioned above is even greater. Buying in some of the first developments to appear in a newly developing, but promising area is an excellent way to get high quality for a great price.
