So what’s the point?” If you’ve ever thought this, two things are probably true; one is that your dream is probably to live near the beach, and the other is that you don’t think that it’s within your reach, even in a well-priced market like Playa del Carmen properties.

Walking Distance to the Beach – For this price, you can get a condo that is a reasonable walk away, through nice neighborhoods. Playa del Carmen’s downtown beaches are very wide with plenty of public access points. Unlike most places, they are actually more beautiful than the postcards, and they add a kind of relaxation to life that you can’t find just anywhere. Just about every street downtown leads to the beach, making access easy and convenient.
Walk-Everywhere Downtown Lifestyle – Besides the beaches, just about everything else can be within walking distance – large grocery stores (like Walmart), cafes, local markets, restaurants, taco shops, banks, convenience stores and even dental offices and health clinics. And of course, the main downtown street, Fifth Avenue, which is picturesque pedestrian promenade with shops of every kind (boutiques, tequila, cigars, jewelry, etc.), cafes and restaurants is along the way to the beach.
Nice Complex with a Pool, etc. – Besides being in a convenient location, it’s important that you’re residence is nice as well. For this price, you can probably expect (if you know where to look) a complex with central green area/lounge/pool. Such spaces are important for relaxation and a comfortable lifestyle. In general, you can expect a complex which simply looks nice and feels comfortable.
A Beautiful, Spacious Unit – Your unit should also be spacious and comfortable. Modern fixtures and design offering full living comfort can be expected, as well as a balcony overlooking the pool. The point of “spacious” is also important since this allows you to relax in your new home in a very real way.
The Catch? – So, maybe you’re thinking, “What’s the catch?” While not all deals that look good really are, it’s important to notice that there really are nice properties in good downtown locations meeting these descriptions, and in this price range. This is possible because perhaps they are not the most “visible” neighborhoods and they are just beginning to see nice complexes go in. Yet, the point remains that the lifestyle is excellent.
