Thomas Lloyd, tulum Broker By Thomas Lloyd

When most of hear about sustainable real estate, we usually like the sound of the idea, but we imagine an off-the-wall home out in the woods where some guy with crazy hair has isolated himself from civilization and comfortable living.  If you are considering sustainable Tulum land for sale, this image is about as far as it gets from the truth.  While respect for the environment and harmony with nature are definitely central, yet luxury living and modern comfort are also a very clear part of sustainable living in Tulum.

Real Sustainability – First of all, it is worth pointing out that in Tulum, land developments are available that offer real sustainability.  Homes are required to work on alternative power such as solar panels and wind turbines.  Streets are made of local materials that allow easy and rapid water penetration into the ground.  Lots are very large (up to 5 acres) and most of the natural vegetation is left standing.

Professional Experienced Builders – The next important point is that there are builders available in the Tulum area who are experienced in building sustainable homes.  The trend has been common enough for a few decades now that builders who really have firm grasp on the whole process – legal, respecting natural surroundings, as well as luxury and comfort – can easily be found.

Climate-oriented Design – Although they are often Americans, these builders will not simply take a cookie-cutter design from the United States or Europe.  Part of the idea is that homes are designed and built oriented specifically to the sub-tropical jungle climate of Tulum.  Items such as directions of wind and sunlight are taken into account to offer a fresh and cool climate naturally even on the hottest days.

Beautiful, Luxury Modern Homes – While taking these factors into account, beautiful design and luxury features are also given high importance.  In fact, the finished product usually ends up looking more luxurious than many non-sustainable homes.  Complete comfort of modern living is included and the sustainability almost seems to become an afterthought (although this is certainly not true.)

Upscale Communities – Part of what makes the living luxury is that some of these communities are upscale, with guidelines and regulations not only about sustainability but also about community image.  The roads and common are also designed to combine natural beauty with elegance and visual appeal.

In Tulum it is very possible to live sustainably and in luxury at the same time.; Mexico's Leading Network of Specialists for Finding and Purchasing Mexican Properties Safely
