The Baja California Peninsula offers American and Canadian buyers many excellent communities to make their new home, such as La Paz real estate.  The following is a brief overview of just a few of these options.

La Paz Real Estate

La Paz was originally one of the area’s many missions; located directly on a bay on the Sea of Cortez, La Paz offers views both of splendid sunsets and refreshing sunrises in the early morning.  The area’s natural landscape includes both desert and mountain, and the town is still small and very relaxing. A significant expat community makes it easy to settle in; at the same time, the expats here tend to blend in and interact, maintaining a real Mexican atmosphere and making it easy get to know a new culture.

Cabo Real Estate

Cabo is at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, and is the area’s most well established tourist area.  It has an international airport that offers excellent connections to the west half of North America and good connections to the east seasonally.  There are many connecting flight options as well with reasonable prices.  Cabo has many modern stores and amenities.

Loreto Real Estate

Like La Paz, Loreto is also one of the area’s original Spanish missions, and the old mission is still the center and the focal point of the town.  The area is very much undiscovered but offers a quiet and comfortable lifestyle.

Rocky Point Real Estate

Rocky Point is at the northern tip of the Sea of Cortez, and is only a couple of hours away from Arizona; access is so easy, in fact, that it is considered “Arizona’s beachfront.”  New highways connections and airport expansion make this beachfront paradise very accessible to all of North America.  The area has also seen a large expansion in international stores and nice new condo options in recent years.

Rosarito Real Estate

Rosarito is on the Pacific side of Baja, and is the favorite beachfront area near Tijuana.  Its proximity to the California border has made it a favorite for expats and vacationers for quite some time.

Each one of these areas has a unique appeal of its own; what they share in common is beautiful beaches, breath-taking views, a variety of landscapes and natural settings, low real estate prices and a low cost of living.  They are also among the options closest to home for many Americans and Canadians.
