They have a legal duty to inspect, disclose and represent the buyer in all areas of the acquisition and guide their clients through the entire purchasing process.<\/p>\n

The person you are dealing with should <\/span>be experienced in the real estate market and knowledgable the area in which you\u00c2\u00b4d like to live, including the different neighborhoods and what each has to offer. \u00c2\u00a0They should be\u00c2\u00a0certified and belong to a group such as the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI)<\/strong> or National Association of Realtors (NAR)<\/strong>. When you begin looking for an\u00c2\u00a0agent look for someone with a good reputation and get\u00c2\u00a0references if possible. Feeling\u00c2\u00a0comfortable and confident with your agent will greatly aid the process.<\/p>\n

In Mexico, real estate agents do not need to be certified to practice real estate and you could end up\u00c2\u00a0represented by\u00c2\u00a0someone who\u00c2\u00a0does not understand the legalities involved with the purchase.
