Quintana Roo has been designated the <\/span>tourism giant of Mexico<\/span>. These were the words used by state governor Roberto Borge Angulo at a recent press conference with The Yucatan Times<\/em>. Borge\u00c2\u00a0said that\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0153during the last five years, 51 new hotels have been constructed and 2016 is projected to have at least three more, allowing the region to reach nearly 90,000 hotel rooms.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d He also added that \u00c2\u00a8quality services, natural resources and vast history and culture\u00c2\u00a8 allows it to be an international benchmark.<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to The Yucatan Times<\/em>, the state of Quintana Roo had\u00c2\u00a08.2 of the total 32.1 million visitors to Mexico last year. The State Secretary of Tourism for Quintana Roo, Raul Andrade Angulo, credits the tourism industry as \u00c2\u00a8a powerful engine that drives social and economic development that generates better living standards for the welfare of Quintana Roo.<\/em>\u00c2\u00a8<\/p>\n

The Riviera Maya boasts\u00c2\u00a016 diamond hotels,\u00c2\u00a0natural resources and a history and culture that makes it unique\u00c2\u00a0to visitors worldwide. And arriving to Cancun is even easier now than before.
