Cozumel stands out from the majority of Mexico real estate<\/a> since it is an island.\u00c2\u00a0 For some buyers considering Cozumel real estate<\/a>, this may raise the concern of transportation to and from the island.\u00c2\u00a0 However, both international transportation and getting to and from the mainland are actually relatively easy processes.<\/p>\n

\"\"During the week of June 28 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c July 4, 2010, 37 flights were scheduled to land in Cozumel, from national and international destinations, carrying a total of over 5,500 passengers.\u00c2\u00a0 For any Mexico real estate<\/a> market whose prices are influenced by non-Mexican demand,\u00c2\u00a0 airports and flights are one of the top factors of influence.\u00c2\u00a0 This is great for the Cozumel real estate<\/a> market.\u00c2\u00a0 Direct flights arrive from and leave for many North American destinations on a daily basis, including Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Charlotte, Toronto and many more.\u00c2\u00a0 The prices for direct flights are comparable to that of other beachfront destinations in Mexico, with a round trip to Dallas costing about $600.\u00c2\u00a0 Flights with stop overs can be found for as low as $400.<\/p>\n

Travel to and from the Mexico mainland is also made fairly easy.\u00c2\u00a0 The ferry to Playa del Carmen takes only about 45 minutes and leaves every hour on most days.\u00c2\u00a0 A one-way trip costs about $10.\u00c2\u00a0 Along the way, you can enjoy cold beer, snacks and often live music.\u00c2\u00a0 The ferry lands right next to Playa del Carmen’s Fifth Avenue \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the main tourist area \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and to a taxi stand where you can get reasonable fares to many nearby locations.<\/p>\n

Direct flights from local airlines to nearby locations, such as Cancun and the beautiful colonial city of Merida, can also be found for very reasonable prices.<\/p>\n

While visiting all the beautiful areas on the Yucatan peninsula and other parts of the Mexico real estate region, it is certainly worthwhile, and will catch your interest, as you settle in Cozumel, you won’t find that you’re eager to get away anytime soon.\u00c2\u00a0 The beautiful nature, Mayan pyramid sites, the coral reef \u00e2\u20ac\u201c which can be visited scuba diving \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the oceanfront activities, such as snorkeling, sailing and fishing, will be enough to keep you busy, not to mention just relaxing on the beach, or in your dream home.<\/p>\n
