4)\u00c2\u00a0 Easy Travel to the U.S.<\/strong> – Mexico’s combination of culture, quality of life and warm weather is unique (despite common misconceptions, Mexico’s traditions and culture are not universal throughout Latin America.)\u00c2\u00a0 What’s more, it’s the closest country to the U.S. and Canada.\u00c2\u00a0 Modernization of infrastructure and economy has made more international airports available with frequent direct flights to anywhere in North America, and even beyond.\u00c2\u00a0 The flights are very affordable, making visits back home easy, as well as visits from family and friends.\u00c2\u00a0 Many retirees enjoy travelling by road as well. <\/strong><\/p>\n

5)\u00c2\u00a0 Safety<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c This is perhaps the most surprising to those who have never visited Mexico, due to the out-of-context news on violence we keep seeing, but those who visit and live here will confirm that for the most part they often feel even safer than in their home cities.\u00c2\u00a0 Drug violence is isolated to specific pockets of the country \u00e2\u20ac\u201c mostly along the U.S. border \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and even most Mexican nationals live quite apart from these problems.\u00c2\u00a0 Mexico homes for sale<\/a> can be found for very accessible prices in gated communities, which offer added security and less traffic, but for the reasons just mentioned, many retirees feel very comfortable buying a home or condo in the downtown or village center areas.<\/p>\n
