{"id":4446,"date":"2012-04-03T09:43:14","date_gmt":"2012-04-03T15:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/temp-blog\/?p=4446"},"modified":"2012-04-03T09:56:07","modified_gmt":"2012-04-03T15:56:07","slug":"mexico-retirement-%e2%80%93-lifestyle-benefits-from-ongoing-tourism-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/blog\/2012\/04\/mexico-retirement-%e2%80%93-lifestyle-benefits-from-ongoing-tourism-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico Retirement \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Lifestyle Benefits from Ongoing Tourism Growth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many of the benefits Americans and Canadians in their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/retire.php\" target=\"_blank\">Mexico retirement<\/a> arise from the ongoing strength of the country\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s tourism.\u00c2\u00a0 For this reason, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s good news for retirees and most other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mexico real estate<\/a> buyers that early 2012 has shown promising growth over previous years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Retirement in Mexico\" src=\"http:\/\/i255.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh138\/beatlo\/RETIREMENT\/banner-act-seniors.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"116\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s tourism figure compares favorably with the same month in  2008, considered the best year in Mexico\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s tourism industry to date.  February of 2012 showed an increase of 8.3 percent compared with the  second month of 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Tourism reports that the number of visitors who  arrived by air during February was 1,039, 863 &#8211; a figure 13.3 percent  higher than in the same period in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Of all the visitors who arrived in Mexico in February 2012, 537,866  were from the U.S., which is an increase of 4.3 percent over the same  month in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Integrated System for Operation Migration, the  number of Canadians was 247,618 visitors, a figure 5.8 percent higher  than February last year.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s worth noting that this number is  disproportionately large compared to that of the U.S.; while Canada has  only 10% the population of the U.S., the number of tourists is almost  50% of the larger country.\u00c2\u00a0 (Similar trends can be seen in real estate  purchases.)<\/p>\n<p>Argentina, France and the UK reported increases of 23.8, 8.8 and 10.3 percent respectively, compared with February 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The number of visitors from Brazil grew 127.6 percent, Spain 1.2  percent and Germany 8 percent against the same period 2011.
