Have you ever wondered what Mexico retirement<\/a> is like?\u00c2\u00a0 We spend a good deal of time talking about things like savings, good property prices and nice clinics \u00e2\u20ac\u201c these are all important, but what about day to day life?<\/p>\n

\"\"Imagine waking up in the morning with the rising sun shining into your window.\u00c2\u00a0 You get up and make yourself a coffee, which you enjoy out on your balcony.\u00c2\u00a0 The day is going to be warm, but the cool breeze makes it perfect to enjoy the coffee in the refreshing morning.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And breakfast \u00e2\u20ac\u201c well, you could make it yourself, or go buy it for $3 at the cafe around the corner.\u00c2\u00a0 You choose the cafe.\u00c2\u00a0 Heading out the door you see your neighbor and chat about going to the beach in the afternoon.\u00c2\u00a0 He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s from Indiana, just like you.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nice to have neighbors from back home.\u00c2\u00a0 The gardener, who knows a bit of English, also stops and chats.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not just retirees who have time to chat \u00e2\u20ac\u201c it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s how life is in Mexico.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The cafe makes good pastries.\u00c2\u00a0 Do you go for a chocolate filled croissant, or opt for the healthier mango smoothy \u00e2\u20ac\u201c made of fresh, locally grown fruit, sweeter than anything you ever got back home?\u00c2\u00a0 You could easily go for both; after all, they cost so little.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After breakfast you go for a relaxing stroll on the beach \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the breeze is still cool, but the sun is \"\"already very warm.\u00c2\u00a0 Along the way, you stop for a nice cold drink, which you enjoy at a rustic wooden table right on the sand \u00e2\u20ac\u201c or perhaps you prefer a hammock; they have a few of those up as well.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You meet some friends for lunch; everyone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s in the mood for tasty Mexican food \u00e2\u20ac\u201c enchiladas, tamales, etc. Together, you plan your afternoon; golf, tennis or perhaps a little outing to a nearby nature park.\u00c2\u00a0 They have wonderful pools to go snorkelling in.\u00c2\u00a0 Later in the week you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re thinking of a boat trip. One of your friends has been out on a tour with a local guide that was really nice.<\/p>\n

\"\"After a wonderful afternoon out in the warm sun, and a delicious supper of local seafood, you decide you could go for something easy \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a movie in the theater, or just a walk through the mall.\u00c2\u00a0 You end your day with a quick dip in the pool, and relaxing on your balcony again.<\/p>\n

Of course, Mexico retirement<\/a> could be so many different lifestyles, and include so many different activities.\u00c2\u00a0 This is just a very little sample of what a relaxing day in the life of a retiree in Mexico could be like!<\/p>\n
