{"id":4830,"date":"2012-07-13T12:52:26","date_gmt":"2012-07-13T18:52:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/temp-blog\/?p=4830"},"modified":"2012-07-11T18:19:36","modified_gmt":"2012-07-12T00:19:36","slug":"mexico-to-host-world-heritage-convention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/mexico-to-host-world-heritage-convention\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico to Host World Heritage Convention"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over at The Mexico Report (an excellent source of good information of what living in Mexico is really all about), I read that Mexico will be hosting the next World Heritage Conference.\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps there&#8217;s some connection between this and the large number of World Heritage sites Mexico is home to, such as Chichen Itza (within the\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/yucatan-real-estate\/\">Yucatan real estate<\/a> area.)\u00c2\u00a0 Here&#8217;s the text:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In the framework of the 40th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention, The Mexican Secretary of Tourism, the National Council for Arts and Culture and the National Institute of Anthropology and History, in collaboration with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Government of the state of Quer\u00c3\u00a9taro, are jointly organizing an International meeting on tourism, sustainable development, and World Heritage that intends to build cooperation bridges between the authorities in order to implement best common practices.<\/p>\n<p>The event will take place in Quer\u00c3\u00a9taro, Mexico from July\u00c2\u00a017 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 20 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The World Heritage Convention is the most ratified international treaty for cultural and natural heritage preservation in the world.
