Tulum\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s International Airport Plans &#038; Mexico\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s New President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week, Roberto Borge, the Governor of the State of Quintana Roo, which includes Tulum, Cancun and several other important tourism and real estate communities, has stated that a priority of Mexico\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new President, Enrique Pena Nieto, would be to complete projects begun and left hanging by the current administration, among which was named the Riviera Maya International Airport in Tulum.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"Riviera Maya International Airport\" src=\"http:\/\/i255.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh138\/beatlo\/Cancun%20Airport\/airlinesairports.jpg?t=1303968851\" alt=\"Tulum International Airport, Tulum real estate\" width=\"235\" height=\"151\" \/>When Tulum became a separate municipality back in 2008, one of the main items on the newly formed government\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s agenda was to work with the federal government in making and carrying out plans for the Riviera Maya International Airport, which would do a good deal both to boost tourism and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/tulum-real-estate\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tulum real estate<\/a> market.\u00c2\u00a0 Especially during 2010, the plans seemed to be reaching approval and nearing the point where a contract would be granted and preparations for construction would begin.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, in May 2011, after the review committee considered the bids of the 3 participating companies for the contract (which would cover construction and operation), it was determined that the 3 bids were invalid.\u00c2\u00a0 The airport project was left \u00e2\u20ac\u0153in limbo\u00e2\u20ac\u009d not being canceled, or even officially \u00e2\u20ac\u0153on hold\u00e2\u20ac\u009d but also not showing any signs of advance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since then, the Governor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s brief comment about the president elect\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s intentions to resume this project has been the first sign of hope that the project will resume in the near future.\u00c2\u00a0 While the comment was almost in passing, the fact that this is on the new administration\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s agenda is a good indication.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Transportation to and from Mexico has been a strong point for Americans and Canadians in favor of buying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/\">Mexico real estate<\/a>, and this new airport would bring many benefits to the Tulum area market.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TOPMexicoRealEstate.com;
