Lots can be found for excellent prices in most parts of Mexico.\u00c2\u00a0 Even high-demand markets like\u00c2\u00a0Playa del Carmen real estate<\/a> have nice, spacious lots in good communities for worthwhile prices.\u00c2\u00a0 The building process, materials and labor is also considerably less than back home, and amounts to less than the same home would cost if bought already complete in Mexico.<\/p>\n

2. You can be as hands-on or hands-off as you like<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are professional construction management companies that will oversee the process from creating the best design to hanging the curtains.\u00c2\u00a0 Online portals allow you to monitor progress and expenses, seeing pictures and up-to-date reports.\u00c2\u00a0 There is a small cost for this, but for most people it’s worth it.\u00c2\u00a0 For the more adventurous (who have the time to be onsite during much of the process) there is also the option of doing it yourself. 3. The home will be exactly the way you want it<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whether you do it yourself or hire a professional to manage the process for you, you will have control over how the house is designed, laid out, finished and decorated.\u00c2\u00a0 Ideas like how many trees you want or how close you want to be to the neighbors can be taken into account as early as when you choose your lot.\u00c2\u00a0 You can choose between modern, colonial, ecological or a combination.<\/p>\n
