Yesterday, the Playa del Carmen Chapter of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) held its \u00e2\u20ac\u0153toma de protesta\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or swearing in ceremony for the new board of directors.<\/p>\n

Above, Laura Zapata was sworn in as the new president and Ileana Cantillo of TOP Mexico Real Estate was sworn in as the Vice President of the AMPI chapter.\u00c2\u00a0 AMPI has been a leading force in the push to professionalize not only the Playa del Carmen real estate<\/a> industry, but the Mexico real estate <\/a>industry as a whole, offering courses, training and certificates, and even collaborating to create a new university degree for both experienced brokers and new students.<\/p>\n Most recently, AMPI has been involved in promoting a new law for the state in which Playa del Carmen is located (Quintana Roo) that will require real estate agents working in the state will be required to have an official license.<\/p>\n Tom (the broker and president of Top Mexico) has been proud to be an active part of this process.\u00c2\u00a0 In yesterday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ceremony, Tom was re-sworn in on the Committee for Justice and Honor.\u00c2\u00a0 He has been a long-term and active member of the Playa del Carmen chapter of AMPI.\u00c2\u00a0 As a member of both the chapter and the committee, he has played an active role in the group\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s promotion of courses, certifications and laws.<\/p>\n In his own business practices, Tom has also been leading the way, being the first broker in Mexico to ever have received the country\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s national level university degree in real estate, and the accompanying professional identification number \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a distinction granted only to highly qualified professionals, generally in fields such as law and medicine.<\/p>\n Ileana Cantillo, also of Top Mexico Real Estate was sworn in as the vice president of the Chapter. \u00c2\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n At the dinner following the formal swearing-in ceremony, a few members of this chapter of AMPI enjoyed delicious sushi with the NATIONAL PRESIDENT and NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT of AMPI who flew into Playa del Carmen to participate in the event.\u00c2\u00a0 One of the main themes of conversation was the collaboration of the various local chapters of AMPI (which include Cancun real estate<\/a>, Cozumel real estate<\/a> and Tulum real estate<\/a>) to use the organization\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s connection with U.S. real estate groups (esp. NAR) to promote the region as an excellent real estate investment choice.<\/p>\n —<\/p>\n On the weekend, I will post more information about the new proposed law requiring real estate agents to have licenses, and its significance.<\/p>\n TOPMexicoRealEstate.com; Mexico’s Leading Network of Specialists for Finding and Purchasing Mexican Properties Safely<\/strong><\/p>\n Again – Happy Thanksgiving!<\/p>\n Este mi\u00c3\u00a9rcoles se llev\u00c3\u00b3 a cabo la toma de protesta de los directores de secci\u00c3\u00b3n de la Asociaci\u00c3\u00b3n Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios (AMPI) para la zona de la Riviera Maya.<\/p>\n El AMPI ha venido promoviendo la profsionalizaci\u00c3\u00b3n de la industria, no solo de los bienes ra\u00c3\u00adces en Playa del Carmen<\/a>, sino de los bienes ra\u00c3\u00adces en M\u00c3\u00a9xico<\/a> en general; ofreciendo cursos, certificaciones y capacitaci\u00c3\u00b3n, adem\u00c3\u00a1s de haber colaborado en la creaci\u00c3\u00b3n de la carrera universitaria para agentes inmobiliarios.<\/p>\n Recientemente el AMPI se ha involucrado en la promoci\u00c3\u00b3n de la nueva Ley de Regulaci\u00c3\u00b3n de Agentes Inmobiliarios en el Estado de Quintana Roo -lo que permitir\u00c3\u00a1 profesionalizar el sector inmobiliario en el pa\u00c3\u00ads- haciendo que todos los agentes en bienes ra\u00c3\u00adces cuenten con una licencia oficial que avale su trabajo.<\/p>\n Tom (agente y presidente de Top M\u00c3\u00a9xico) as\u00c3\u00ad como los colaboradores de Top M\u00c3\u00a9xico Real Estate se enorgullecen al ser parte activa de este proceso. En la ceremonia de este mi\u00c3\u00a9rcoles, Tom volvi\u00c3\u00b3 a tomar protesta como integrante del Comit\u00c3\u00a9 de Justicia y Honor en la secci\u00c3\u00b3n de Playa del Carmen. Como miembro, Tom ha tomado un rol activo en la urgencia de la profesionalizaci\u00c3\u00b3n del sector, promoviendo cursos, certificaciones y leyes que regulen y ayuden a mejorar el mercado inmobiliario en el Estado.<\/p>\n Es importante predicar con el ejemplo, ante esto, Tom se convirti\u00c3\u00b3 en el primer agente inmobiliario en el pa\u00c3\u00ads en obtener el grado de licenciatura en Bienes Ra\u00c3\u00adces, adem\u00c3\u00a1s de obtener su n\u00c3\u00bamero de identificaci\u00c3\u00b3n de c\u00c3\u00a9dula profesional para ejercer sus labores.
