(See <a title=\"Permanent link to Building Your Dream Home in Mexico \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Construction Style: Part 1 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Concrete, Concrete and More Concrete!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/blog\/2013\/01\/15\/building-your-dream-home-in-mexico-construction-style-part-1-concrete-concrete-and-more-concrete\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">Building Your Dream Home in Mexico \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Construction Style: Part 1 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Concrete, Concrete and More Concrete!<\/a>)\u00c2\u00a0 Today, in our second last post on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/build-your-own-home-in-mexico.php\" target=\"_blank\">building a home in Mexico<\/a>, I will look at the usual Mexican approach to installations, completion and extensions, along with some corresponding advantages and points to watch out for.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/i255.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh138\/beatlo\/Tulum%20City%20Development\/DSCF4270-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" \/><strong>Air Conditioning and Other Installations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In most parts of the country, expats will want to have air conditioners installed.\u00c2\u00a0 It is good to make sure that this is included in the initial plans to avoid re-working concrete.\u00c2\u00a0 Some builders will also offer designs that make the most of natural air-flow and shading to offer natural sunlight while minimizing heating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Build for Expansion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An interesting and attractive feature that is very common in Mexico is that homes are built to facilitate the construction of another story on top later on.\u00c2\u00a0 While it is important to make sure there is no exposed rebar or anything, this option allows owners to invest in chunks in completing their dream home, or simply leaving the option open for investment (for example, building a rental apartment upstairs) or resale.<\/p>\n<p>Such designs can be very elegant, made to look 100% complete and attractive and still easily incorporate a second (or even third) story later on both in terms of construction and aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/i255.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh138\/beatlo\/Home%20Style%20and%20Design\/HomeinMexico_zpsdc6b6fc4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bit by Bit Mentality<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is one of those points which is best avoided (at least to the extent that Mexicans do it), but can be used to an owner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s advantage if care is taken.\u00c2\u00a0 Many Mexicans tend to build their homes little by little, completing only what they can afford at the moment.\u00c2\u00a0 (This probably stems from a different concept of savings \u00e2\u20ac\u201c \u00e2\u20ac\u0153invest that little chunk of money in your home while you have it, before you spend it on something else!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d &#8211; as well as less access to credit.) Los riesgos de dejar inconcluso nuestro proyecto de construcci\u00c3\u00b3n son enormes si no sabemos con exactitud cu\u00c3\u00a1nto es lo que podemos gastar y cu\u00c3\u00a1l es nuestro tope final. Platicar estos n\u00c3\u00bameros con tu constructor ayudar\u00c3\u00a1n a definir un plan de trabajo. Debemos tener en cuenta que todos los proyectos de construcci\u00c3\u00b3n cuentan con imprevistos en su desarrollo. Los constructores lo saben, ante esto platicar bien cantidades finales y presupuestos totales de inversi\u00c3\u00b3n ayudar\u00c3\u00a1n a tener una planeaci\u00c3\u00b3n general realista, y te ayudar\u00c3\u00a1n a no dejar inconcluso el sue\u00c3\u00b1o de construir tu casa.<\/p>\n<p>Imprevistos existen miles, desde alg\u00c3\u00ban temporal clim\u00c3\u00a1tico hasta alg\u00c3\u00ban accidente con los trabajadores.
