We wish all of you, our readers, peace, happiness and above all health. \u00c2\u00a0The first quarter of this year was highlighted by AMPI \u00c2\u00a0Inaugurations which took place in many sections across the country. (AMPI is Mexico&#8217;s professional association for Realtors.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Settlement Company\u00c2\u00ae celebrates an anniversary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On May 1, 1991, <strong>The Settlement Company<\/strong>\u00c2\u00ae opened its doors in San Jose del Cabo and became the first title and escrow company in Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Since that time, our family of professionals has served clients located all over the planet such as: Australia, Andorra, Hong Kong,\u00c2\u00a0Italy, Spain and of course North America.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The company opened and operated the first MLS system in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/\">Mexico real estate<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Happy 22<sup>nd<\/sup>Anniversary Settlement Team!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Company also has the registered trademark in Mexico for the Virtual Closing\u00c2\u00ae allowing us to do Closings anywhere in Mexico. It has developed a reputation as \u00e2\u20ac\u009dYour Safety Net in Mexican Real Estate.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Swearing-In Ceremony of AMPI\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\u00c2\u00a0National Board of Directors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year the inauguration of the President and National Advisory Council of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals took place in Cuernavaca. The Governor of the state of Morelos, Governor of the State of Morelos, Graco Ramirez Garrido Abreu, delivered the oath Guillermo Salgado Casta\u00c3\u00b1eda became the National President for 2013. Among the dignitaries attending were; Jorge Morelos Barud, Mayor of Cuernavaca, Ms. Zolla Ma.Alejandra Jarillo, federal delegate of the Secretary of the Economy for Morelos and other government officials. Jeffrey Hornberger, Director Global Business Alliances for the National Association of Realtors\u00c2\u00ae (NAR) was there as well as delegations from of real estate associations from Brazil and Central America, along with representatives from the International Real Estate Federation and the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright\" title=\"Cuernavaca, the location of the AMPI National events this year\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/lets-retire-in-mexico\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Cuernavaca-Colonial-Street-Night1-300x137.jpg\" alt=\"Mexico real estate\" width=\"300\" height=\"137\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During his acceptance speech, Mr Salgado mentioned that for the first time this event was held outside Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>During the evening an agreement of cooperation was signed between NAR and AMPI. AMPI members at the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Socio\u00e2\u20ac\u009d level become are included as l NAR International members.<\/p>\n<p>The year 2013 has been designated as Spotlight in Mexico by NAR. This program will include investment newsletters and bulletins on investment opportunities in Mexico. One special event will be an investment, resort and second home forum to be convened in Los Cabos in June, followed by a CIPS Institute. \u00c2\u00a0AMPI will be high profile at the annual NAR Conference and Trade Expo which will be held in San Francisco this year, in November.<\/p>\n<p>A letter of intent was signed between CILA &#8211; Confederaci\u00c3\u00b3n Inmobiliaria de Latinoam\u00c3\u00a9rica (Real Estate Confederation of Latin America) and AMPI.<\/p>\n<p>The first quarter of 2013 saw a flurry of Inaugurations at AMPI\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 70 local Sections. In Baja California Norte, there were five in one week.\u00c2\u00a0 To the south there was an international affair.<\/p>\n<p>AMPI Los Cabos new President Vincent Ferrero was born in France. El gobernador del estado, el licenciado Graco Ramirez Abreu, estuve presente en el evento y fungi\u00c3\u00b3 como el moderador que tom\u00c3\u00b3 el juramento al nuevo presidente elegido para el periodo 2013, el se\u00c3\u00b1or Guillermo Salgado Casta\u00c3\u00b1eda. Entre los presentes se encontraban Jorge Morelos Barud, presidente municipal de Cuernavaca, Mar\u00c3\u00ada Alejandra Jarilla, delegada federal de la Secretar\u00c3\u00ada de Econom\u00c3\u00ada, adem\u00c3\u00a1s de Jeffret Hornberger, director global de alianzas de la Asociaci\u00c3\u00b3n Nacional de Agentes Inmobiliarios (NAR) en Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>Este a\u00c3\u00b1o m\u00c3\u00a1s de 70 secciones regionales del AMPI han sido inauguradas, por lo que hay mucho que celebrar. El a\u00c3\u00b1o pinta m\u00c3\u00a1s que excelente para el mercado inmobiliario.
