\u00c2\u00a0We all know how important is to be able to resell a property after buying it; you could go buy a home in a nearly abandoned town in the middle of nowhere in the U.S. For $40,000 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and then be stuck with it for the rest of your life.<\/p>\n
In just about any country there are markets that move well, markets that don’t.\u00c2\u00a0 As recent years have shown us, there are also times when markets move well and times when they don’t.<\/p>\n
How important is it for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n Like anywhere else, the importance of easy resale for Mexico real estate<\/a> depends on your situation.\u00c2\u00a0 If you are an investor, it is a factor you will want to give very high importance.\u00c2\u00a0 If you are a retiree, and you see the property mostly for your retirement pleasure, it may have less importance since you’ll have more flexibility to negotiate the resale if need be.<\/p>\n Factors to Consider\u00c2\u00a0 Factors you may need to consider if resale is important include:<\/p>\n The Trump Card<\/strong><\/p>\n As you notice quickly by looking at the list, the basic idea is the same as anywhere \u00e2\u20ac\u201c good location factors = easier resale.\u00c2\u00a0 However, the difference is that proximity to whatever the attraction is where you buy (beach, colonial town center, etc.) is the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153trump card.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0 If you’re close by, there’s a much better chance of easy or quick resale \u00e2\u20ac\u201c especially to other expats or vacationers.<\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0 Another factor which makes things much easier \u00e2\u20ac\u201c especially for those who don’t have the pressure of making a profitable resale – is that even if the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153trump card\u00e2\u20ac\u009d factor is missing, a combination of a good property and some nice location factors (shopping mall, highway access) will make the property appealing for the Mexican market, which tends to be less \u00e2\u20ac\u0153picky\u00e2\u20ac\u009d about these issues.<\/p>\n (There are a couple reasons for this, including the fact that many buyers are from Mexico City and compared to their 3 hour commute, a 15 minute drive is very short; another is that they already feel more \u00e2\u20ac\u0153at home.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d)<\/p>\n Market Stability<\/strong><\/p>\n The Savings Factor<\/strong><\/p>\n When investing in Mexico real estate, it’s also important to consider the savings factor \u00e2\u20ac\u201c i.e. you’re going to save so much cash, that the risk of having to resell at a lower price (which is less likely here in the first place,) would have less of an impact anyway.\u00c2\u00a0 Areas you will save on include:<\/p>\n Yes, Resale is Important, But \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n So, as always, resale is an important factor.\u00c2\u00a0 However, in Mexico it’s less likely that you will have to resell at a lower cost, and if you do, the savings you’ve enjoyed will balance out a least part of that.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n — The TOP<\/span> Mexico Real Estate<\/a><\/em> Network; “Mexico\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Leading Network of Specialists for Finding and Purchasing Mexican Properties Safely!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/span><\/strong> Bien, una de las interrogantes m\u00c3\u00a1s comunes en la compra de propiedades en Playa del Carmen es: \u00c2\u00bfcomprar por placer o comprar como inversi\u00c3\u00b3n? la realidad del mercado actual y la experiencia de la mayor\u00c3\u00ada de las personas que compran propiedades en Playa del Carmen, es que la respuesta es \u00c2\u00a1ambas!.
