In the final months of the summer,\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0the Mexican Caribbean island\u00c2\u00a0saw an\u00c2\u00a0increase of\u00c2\u00a0cruise ship activity\u00c2\u00a0which the local \u00c2\u00a0Cozumel real estate<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0industry and several\u00c2\u00a0related businesses have been able to capitalize.\u00c2\u00a0 Cozumel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s economy is based mostly in cruise ship tourism. \u00c2\u00a0While the swine flu travel advisory in the spring and summer of 2009 brought many obstacles to many Mexico real estate<\/a> areas and their\u00c2\u00a0businesses, the number of\u00c2\u00a0tourist visitors\u00c2\u00a0in Cozumel have been increasing steadily since that time.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

In July, after several weeks of cancellations of cruise ship visits, the Cozumel port opened up their doors receiving from\u00c2\u00a0three upto\u00c2\u00a0six\u00c2\u00a0cruise ship visits per\u00c2\u00a0day.\u00c2\u00a0 Most of the cruises arrive to Puerta Maya pier in Cozumel.\u00c2\u00a0 Cruise ship lines such as the Carnival Valor\u00c2\u00a0normally arrive\u00c2\u00a0around\u00c2\u00a06:30 am, and leave\u00c2\u00a0near to\u00c2\u00a04 pm; the Carnival Conquest have been arriving\u00c2\u00a0near to 9 am, and staying on the island till the\u00c2\u00a06 pm mark.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The estimated total amount of passengers\u00c2\u00a0arriving have been\u00c2\u00a0between 7,000 and 9,000.<\/p>\n

During this past summer, the well-known \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Disney Magic\u00e2\u20ac\u009d with a capacity of 2500 passengers have been arriving on a regular basis.\u00c2\u00a0 Although many people arrive to the Cozumel island by local ferry from\u00c2\u00a0the Playa del Carmen tourist base, the\u00c2\u00a0majority of the visitors arrive\u00c2\u00a0via cruises.\u00c2\u00a0 Significant amount of activity, and economic movement, to the shopping area near the wharf and downtown are the main zones that profit from the cruise ship agendas.<\/p>\n
