Yet, you know it’s always worth consideration. There are many factors involved in renting, and the following are a few tips to help you decide if you want to rent to start off, or buy your dream home immediately.

You may wish to consider a Mexico rental if …

You’re not sure about staying in Mexico – While most people who set foot in the country fall in love with it, not everyone is decided immediately. There may also be other serious factors that could require you to move back some time; international moves are a big deal and you don’t want to have to do them too often. In these cases, renting gives you some time to “wait and see.” However, if you like the idea of making money from investment, buying could still be the best choice (see below.)

You need more time to look – Maybe you’re sure about Mexico, and you’re ready to make the leap now, but you just haven’t found that right property yet. You can rent for a couple of months while you keep searching.

Rental prices are low – Combined with either of the two factors above, low rental prices are a nice plus, although I find that people usually won’t go for renting for this reason alone. It’s nice to own your own little slice of paradise!

On the other hand, you’ll probably do better buying right away if …

You’ve already seen that perfect home – You’ve seen a home or condo that’s simply perfect!
