Association of Realtors Convention and Expo<\/strong> in San Francisco.\u00c2\u00a0 The entire event was an incredible success.\u00c2\u00a0 I was honored to have the chance to speak at the convention about the beautiful Riviera Maya and some of the incredible advantages there are to living there.\u00c2\u00a0 I would like to share with you some highlights on my talk, which puts emphasis on a strong growth in lifestyle, and real estate interest Riviera Maya.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"border: 0px;\" title=\"Chichen-itza\" src=\"http:\/\/i255.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh138\/beatlo\/chichenitza_zps5c9bb836.jpg\" alt=\"Chichen-itza\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" border=\"0\" \/>The Riviera Maya is an area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/\">Mexico<\/a> filled with beauty and a higher than normal ecological respect and appreciation for the nature that surrounds this region.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0You will find a high percentage of Europeans, (Italians, Germans, Spanish, English) People from South America (Argentina, Columbians, Venezuelans) on the beaches, in the street side cafes, and living harmoniously in the small neighborhoods.\u00c2\u00a0 It is uniquely and truly a cosmopolitan community, which in itself, adds to the attraction.<\/p>\n<p>People all over the world travel to the Riviera Maya to experience the romantic Caribbean turquoise waters and <a title=\"Tulum Real Estate \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Beaches Nominated for the World Travel Awards\" href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/blog\/2012\/05\/tulum-real-estate-%e2%80%93-beaches-nominated-for-the-world-travel-awards\/\">white sand beache<\/a>s! \u00c2\u00a0Within the tropical jungle, the entire Riviera Maya is rich in the <a title=\"Mysticism, Prophecies and Purification; Mayan and Tibetian Mystics Meet in Playa del Carmen\" href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/blog\/2012\/08\/mysticism-prophecies-and-purification-mayan-and-tibetian-mystics-meet-in-playa-del-carmen\/\">Mysterious Mayan culture<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The Chichen-Itza pyramid was voted the New 7<sup>th<\/sup> Wonder of the world and the Tulum pyramids, with the Caribbean Sea as a backdrop, also brings millions of visitors to discover, learn, and collect amazing photos and paintings each year.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0Haciendas, large plantations with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/custom-homes\/?n=hacienda-del-rio&amp;art=b326&amp;web=p1\">Mexican Colonial architecture<\/a>, have also brought visitors from all parts of the world.<\/p>\n<p>These are just a few of the attractions that make Riviera Maya unique, the top vacation destination, favorite international second home destination, and popular retirement site in Mexico.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"border: 0px;\" title=\"Riviera Maya Beaches\" src=\"http:\/\/i255.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh138\/beatlo\/riviera-maya-beache_zps3b3de048.jpg\" alt=\"Riviera Maya Beaches\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" border=\"0\" \/>Some of the reasons that that draw Americans and Canadians to invest and live in the Riviera Maya are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A unique simplicity to life and laid back atmosphere<\/li>\n<li>Beautiful Caribbean beaches<\/li>\n<li>Easy access and\u00c2\u00a0 inexpensive flights (direct flights from 100s of USA and Canadian cities, the second busiest airport in Mexico behind Mexico City)<\/li>\n<li>Low cost of Living and healthcare<\/li>\n<li>Residential towns that range from big city lifestyle to peaceful and in tune nature<\/li>\n<li>Incredible lifestyle choices and things to do!<\/li>\n<li>Mexican Hacienda tradition, culture and architecture that still allows room for Americanized conveniences<\/li>\n<li>A prime location for scuba diving, fishing, theme parks, sporting events, nature exploration, and ancient historical sites.\u00c2\u00a0 There are even numerous volunteer organizations that have been organized by expats to help in the community.<\/li>\n<li>If you are a golfer, the only official PGA tournament held in Latin America is held annually within the Riviera Maya who also boasts more than 5 signature golf courses in the region.<\/li>\n<li>If you are a diver, the Riviera Maya has some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world. \u00c2\u00a0While extreme sports cave and cenote diving has become a popular diving spot as well given the 1,000s of miles of underground streams and rivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The numbers say it all!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"Cancun Airport\" src=\"http:\/\/i255.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh138\/beatlo\/cancun-airport_zps57615536.jpg\" alt=\"Cancun Airport\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hotel occupancy rates rose by 7.9% in the Riviera Maya and 13.1% in Cancun for the first half of 2013.\u00c2\u00a0 By the close of 2013 there is an expected 90% total occupancy rate combined throughout the Riviera Maya, Cancun, Cozumel and Isla Mujeres.<\/li>\n<li>We are expecting to see the same trend for occupancy rates, in the Riviera Maya, for the coming year 2014<\/li>\n<li>By August 2013 <b>1,885, 012 (one million, eight hundred eighty five, and twelve)<\/b> passengers from the United States and <b>641,013 (six hundred forty one thousand and thirteen)<\/b> passengers from Canada, arrived to the Cancun airport.<\/li>\n<li>Mexico residency requests, by Americans alone, rose 10% since November 2012, when new immigration law aimed at streamlining the process came into effect.\u00c2\u00a0 This does not account for those Americans retiring or living in Mexico under tourist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Riviera Maya is full of beauty, wonder, exploration, enjoyment, nature and love!\u00c2\u00a0 If you have
