\"BrokersA while back I posted about bureaucracy in Mexico<\/a>. \u00a0Today I want to share a few comments from other expats on the same topic:<\/p>\n

“Mexico has often had a negative reputation for bureaucracy. I run a non-profit and because of this I am in more government offices than most, and I can honestly say, things are getting much better.” Catherine, Mexico City area<\/p>\n

“In our business of supervising transfers of title at the Settlement company, our relationships with the public registry of property, with trustee banks, and with appraisers, have certainly become smoother. What used to take us 90 days can often be accomplished in 30 days. Mexico welcomes foreign investment and makes it simpler.” – Linda, La Paz<\/p>\n

“I don’t have as many years in Mexico to compare, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the newer gov. offices and services that I had to “do business with” in Playa del Carmen. They contrasted sharply even to what I encountered only 6 years ago.” – Jacob, Playa del Carmen<\/p>\n

“Last week I had to go to 2 towns and the city of La Paz to try and get water and electricity to a lot I own. While I seemed to get the run around a bit as to who had the authority to assist me they were all quick, very cordial and helpful. I had to go to several other government office in the same day and all were very quick and helpful…a great improvement over many years ago!” – James, Baja California<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In general, the story is being repeated over and over again; things are getting better. \u00a0While there’s still room for improvement, that improvement is happening … at lightning speed!<\/p>\n
