{"id":1450,"date":"2013-08-21T08:48:38","date_gmt":"2013-08-21T14:48:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/lets-retire-in-mexico\/?p=1450"},"modified":"2014-10-07T15:18:08","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T20:18:08","slug":"video-the-founder-of-playa-animal-rescue-shares-her-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/lets-retire-in-mexico\/2013\/08\/video-the-founder-of-playa-animal-rescue-shares-her-story\/","title":{"rendered":"Video: The Founder of Playa Animal Rescue Shares Her Story!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/top-beaches-mexico\/top-beaches-riviera-maya\/\">beaches of Playa del Carmen<\/a> are among the most beautiful in the world, and no doubt that life on these beaches is a central part of being an expat.\u00a0 Yet, being an expat is much more than just relaxation on the beaches.<\/p>\n<p>As we&#8217;ve seen with the stories about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/lets-retire-in-mexico\/2013\/08\/keeping-poor-kids-in-school-playa-del-carmens-new-school-year-starts\/?lang=en\">Keep Kids in School<\/a> program (KKIS) over the past week, many expats contribute to the community through volunteer and charity work.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve also posted about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmexicorealestate.com\/lets-retire-in-mexico\/2013\/07\/video-americans-and-canadians-volunteer-at-playa-del-carmen-animal-rescue\/?lang=en\">Playa Animal Rescue<\/a> program.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s another video about this program \u2013 this time an interview from the expat woman who founded it last year:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/90oL5bCx-t4\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is such a wonderful story!
