Valentine\u2019s Day is getting closer and closer, and it is never too early to plan a romantic getaway with that special person. We recently wrote about some romantic places to escape to in Holbox Island<\/a>, but there are other options in the Riviera Maya, like the quaint village of Bacalar.<\/p>\n

Bacalar is located 213 miles south of the Cancun International Airport, but it feels like a world away. Most of the accommodations in Bacalar are quaint palapas by the lagoon, far away from the crowds and big all-inclusive resorts.<\/p>\n
