Puerto Morelos property detail

Puerto Morelos is located halfway from Playa del Carmen and Cancun, approximately 20 minutes either way. For such a small town the Puerto Morelos downtown area has a lot to offer and brings in many tourists each year. A large part of residences of Puerto Morelos is made up of locals but there are many expats living in this little town from the US, Canada and Europe. Puerto Morelos has always been mainly a fishing town but is also now considered a vacation and diving destination as the reef in front of Puerto Morelos is a part of the Great Mesoamerican Reef and protected as a National Marine Park. Above ground Puerto Morelos has an amazing amount of wildlife and fauna to keep their residents amazed. Arriving to the downtown area, among the protected mangroves in the lagoon, there is a chance to spot a crocodile, while in other areas the locals recommend birdwatching to spot one of the numerous different species. With the beautiful white sandy beach and amazing wildlife both under and above the sea, it is easy to see how this little village is becoming more of a tourist attraction and why many expats are relocating here. It is amazing how Puerto Morelos with many quaint boutique shops, a great selection of restaurants and bars, they still keep the sleepy village feel to their town.
