Jurgen Janz moved to Playa del Carmen over nine years ago and hasn’t looked back once. Originally from Germany, Jurgen came from Belize, where he was living for a while after a friend’s recommendation to move to Playa del Carmen. After taking a little bus trip down to Cancun, what was supposed to be a couple days long trip, turned out to be three weeks spent in Mexico. And this is how Jurgen realized he had found the home he was looking for. After moving to Playa, and with a bunch of friends to entertain, Jurgen opened up "Mom's Bar", a small restaurant and bar which is now a tourist and expats favorite place. Most likely because of the home cooked dinners and all the fun activities that happen every night here. It’s almost like a little piece of home if you are from Canada or the United States! Mom's Bar is located in Downtown Playa del Carmen, on 30th Avenue and 4th Street. Make sure to pay a visit next time you're in town! PS. Mom's Bar is for sale. If you're interested, check out the contact information at the end of the video. Jurgen loves Mexico. He enjoys the environment and all the lovely people he gets to meet. His daily routine includes getting up in the morning to pick up groceries or to take care of Mom's Marketing. He usually has enough time to head to the beach or relax for a couple hours before heading for work, or in his view, to mingle with people.
