Andy and I went out to visit the progress in Tulum last Monday Hot day and afternoon We decided to take a trip towards the oceanfront before our meeting to grab a soda pop and let the sea breeze cool us down
We noticed some new “acceso publico” signs posted along the Boca Pila avenue This is interesting as these signs have been coming up all along the Riviera Maya Good to see these accesses being identified as the topic has been coming up in conversations as new Tulum Condos and homes begin construction We saw a few signs of “property for sale” on the beach road but not as many as usual (before our appointment at Aldea Zama we visited a couple of new listings in Akumal) www.TOPmexicorealestate.com * click on the map towards Quintana Roo to begin the search.
At our meeting, Frank the representative from the developers greeted us at the front gate of this Tulum closed gated community We noticed right off that a large ditch with electric, water, and other tubes were being placed along the main entrance into this new mega protected community
The main avenue leading into this develpment from the Boca Pila road (Boca Pila is the only road in Tulum that takes the public and visitors from downtown to the beach), has one side of its two lanes already cemented You can see the curbs that are being placed and the outline of the bike path which will wind throughout the entire projectOur host from the development`s office mentioned that over the past 2 months, sales for the newly released commercial lots have been “HOT” They have already sold 75% of these lots and have re-adjusted the size of the commercial lots in this project to be expanded another block given the high demandA few months ago I had already begun writing some posts and reviews on this project TULUM REAL ESTATE ALDEA ZAMA POST
At that time, I know one of my concerns was the fact of the slowing US and world financial markets and their affects on the sales of this project The investors who are buying, are looking further down the time line Further than one or two years, they are confident from history results of similar booms experienced in Cancun and Playa del Carmen So the confidence in the local real estate market is withstanding the current slow down of the American economy and consumer confidence
As we continued walking down the new avenue, our host Frank mentioned that the water treatment plant is located on the other side of the 307 highway, and all water and sewage tubing will be connected to this public matrix”The best thing about this project is the planning We saw the history and errors experienced in growth from Cancun and Playa del Carmen and planned accordingly We studied the obstacles that other closed gated communities confronted and we have planned for such problems in our project.”- Pablo Aldea Zama.
I appreciate his opinion as I have been following this group and have seen their experience in developing communities. With the expected high growth from the new airport, and low density ceilings the Government is maintaining for Tulum, it is an interesting combination for alternative investing Call us or write to us so we can share more data about this project, Tulum, and Mexico Real Estate in general.
