Stop Listening to The News – Buy Playa del Carmen Real Estate

So what have you heard in the news lately?  The economy is still rough, Europe is still only so-so, Mexico’s drug war’s are ravaging the country?  The media loves bad news, and the worse it sounds, the better for them.  And you’re left with the job of how much you’re going to take at face value …

How about some good news for once?  Try this: Playa del Carmen real estate offers you a great place to live, with warm weather, beautiful beaches, tons of things to do, and many conveniences.  Better news: you can afford it.  Even better news: there are no drug wars, shootings or gang violence around.

Are you surprised? Think about how much related violence you’ve seen with your own eyes recently.  Chances are, here in Playa del Carmen we’ve seen less than you have. (Unless your answer was “I haven’t seen any, except for news from distant places.”)  While the drug wars are real, media news seeks out and highlights the most horrible events; for example a mob vs. mob confrontation in one city near the U.S. border becomes “Mexico ravaged by drug violence.”  The same thing happens in the U.S. or Canada, and you are aware of the media’s tendency towards sensationalism; but we often forget to apply our same reasoning to news from other parts of the world.

So, enough about the bad news.  Life in Playa del Carmen is safe and convenient.  If you are looking for a gated Mexico retirement community, you can most certainly find them, but it is not necessary.  Whether looking for retirement or a place for family vacations, Mexico condos or homes in Playa del Carmen can range from beautiful downtown properties in European communities to full resort communities outside of the central area.  You can choose a lifestyle in a happening, trendy neighborhood with lots of nightlife, or a place with quiet, tree-lined streets.  And, of course, there are always the beautiful beaches, wide with soft sand and turquoise water behind them.

If you are worried about the economy, take matters into your own hands.  Real estate investment in places like Playa del Carmen has proven to be reliable and an excellent source of return; as one of Latin America’s fastest growing communities, land in newly developing areas has appreciated up to 44%, despite a slow international economy!  The new globalized economy gives an advantage to places that provide reliable, well priced access to high-speed internet, like Playa del Carmen.  If you can make money online, why not live a relaxing life on the beach while doing it?

Of course, while Playa del Carmen is an ideal place to live, it isn’t perfect.  July tends to be a little too hot (although the ocean breeze in the evening is always cool and refreshing).  Also not every property is a good one. If you are going to invest, you will also want to work with qualified professionals to make sure you get the most accurate information to base your investment decision on.

The point here is, don’t let negative news reports discourage you from recognizing what really is good.  Maybe your thinking, “Why should I believe all this positive news more than the negative stuff?”

The answer: You shouldn’t.  Come check it out for yourself, talk to others who are living here, get the facts.  You’ll see what we’re talking about.
