Most of you know the normal Playa del Carmen real estate zones that have:
- One of the world’s most beautiful beaches
- The multi-colors of blue Caribbean waters we enjoy
- Our famous pedestrian-only 20 block long 5th Avenue
- The safe and friendly small town-type community
- The Playa del Carmen real estate market that has been growing at incredible rates over the past 10 years
(it has been tagged as the fastest growing city within the Mexico real estate market for the past few years)
- Our previous posting announcement of the ARCO VIAL, the new almost completed (click here Playa del Carmen over-pass )
bridge allowing thru traffic to zip non-stop through town, thus relieving local traffic congestion
But, many of you do NOT know about the NEW Playa del Carmen
- The up and coming new communities that are growing and expanding west of
Highway 307
- There is not much room to develop new communities in town any longer east of the highway
- There are several new communities being built just west of Playacar
- One of the two shopping malls in town (a major Soriana mega store, a multi-theatre cinema, a McDonalds, several banks, Telcel cell phone store, major department store, Office Depot and several other stores). Sam’s Club is right across the highway as is a first class Spanish-owned hospital.
- A new bowling alley is being completed next to the mall
- A new private sports club is on the books with a planned swimming pool, tennis courts, racquetball courts and other sports activities.
- Construction has begun for the second Walmart in Playa del Carmen so these pretty smart people see the growth continuing.
So this is the NEW Playa del Carmen real estate zones, the up and coming growth area. As we toured this area this week (some have labeled it as the NEW PLAYACAR), we enjoyed the wide new avenues, underground utilities and beautifully designed gated communities scattered throughout the area.
Of course some investors and residents want to be on the beach and have the financial budget to do that, but these new communities are being designed to target the middle and middle-upper income families.
