The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) and Mexico’s Department of Geography and Statistics (INEGI) have signed a “convenio” (document of cooperation.) The ceremony took place at INEGI’s headquarters in the city of Aguascalientes in central Mexico. In addition to AMPI’s President and Vice President, members of the National Advisory Board and Presidents of three nearby AMPI Sections, Aguascalientes, Queretaro and San Miguel were present at the signing. AMPI members will have access to INEGI’s massive data base and a Google 3d feature. The data base uses various government departments including electricity (CFE) and the Mexican census to generate its data.
The new system will be part of AMPI’s Training and Statistics Institute (CCIE.) Stay tuned for more information, and comments on how this will impact the Mexico real estate industry!
