Over the next six months, Puerto Vallarta real estate owners are going to see a series of new flights open up to various parts of the U.S. and Canada. Â These will include flights from Puerto Vallarta to:
- New York
- Vancouver
- Toronto
- Salt Lake City
- Victoria (British Columbia)
New flight connections means that residents have a greater variety of times and dates to choose from, and usually better options for prices.
Airline industry leaders in Mexico also said that during the second half of 2012, 1,500 new weekly flights would be opening, both domestic and international.
Also significant for expats are new flights to Cancun international airport, which serves both the Cancun real estate and Playa del Carmen real estate areas, among others. The flights to the U.S. and Canada include:
- Vancouver
- Columbus
- Washington
- Minneapolis
Most of these flights offer connections to other parts of Mexico, to Europe and to South America, making international travel from these destinations easier. These include flights from Cancun to:
- Paris
- Cuernavaca (just south of Mexico City)
- San Jose del Cabo (Cabo real estate area)
- Bogota (Columbia)
- Munich (Germany)
- Panama
Other new flight connections to the U.S. include:
- Los Angeles – Culiacan  (Northwest of Mexico)
- Chicago – Guadalajara
- Dallas – Toluca (1 hr west of Mexico City)
- Orlando – Mexico City
- Denver – Mexico City
- Oakland – Mexico City
- Chicago – Monterrey
- Toronto – Cozumel
- Orlando – Monterrey
New flights within Mexico will include:
- Mexico City– San Jose del Cabo
- Mexico City – Saltillo (North of Mexico)
- Mexico City – Manzanillo (Pacific Coast)
- Mexico City – Queretaro (Central Mexico)
- Cuernavaca – Monterrey
While the new flights from Puerto Vallarta offer direct benefit, even these other new flights internationally and within Mexico demonstrate that Mexico continues to move ahead in modernization and becoming an increasingly accessible place to live (and travel) affordably.
